Our Mission
Our story started decades ago, when Irma Khan embarked on her journey in 1981, by simply selling goods in the local market. In the succeeding years, this venture grew to producing small orders for restaurants in the area. In 1991, her son, now head of Kimsam Limited, decided to learn the ropes of the business and expand on what she had already set in motion, resulting in the formation of a company called Irma’s Fresh Vegetables. After seventeen years of running this distribution company, he built a strong network of powerful relationships with both customers and suppliers in the industry. This became the foundation on which Kimsam Limited was founded and cultivated.
Kimsam Limited, operating out of south Trinidad, is an importer and distributor of produce and other miscellaneous items. Established since 2008, we have been importing produce for over ten years. Though the company is
relatively young in the importation business, we built a strong name and brand. We currently import over a hundred containers yearly from countries regionally and internationally including: Costa Rica, China, Netherlands,
Canada and the US, just to name a few. These containers, cover a kaleidoscope of goods, ranging from fruits and vegetables (carrots, garlic, potato, etc.) along with, oil and dry goods (rice, peas, beans, etc.)
Kimsam Limited prides itself on constantly evolving and expanding our current product offerings and services to best suit the needs of our valued customers. Our company has exponentially grown and thrived in an increasingly competitive market for over 30 years. Consequently, we have developed a strong distribution network consisting of restaurants, hotels, fellow wholesalers, groceries and our very own retail division. We proudly provide customers with quality goods, produced both domestically and internationally at a fair price.
